Its that time of year again. A time for reflection, a time to be with the people we care about most. A time to wish peace & good will to all men... That feeling tends to last up until the sales hit, then it's every man for himself. But spare a thought for poor documentary photographers that will have been stuck at Heathrow and other airports while jetting out to their next project. But even more so for their subjects... The homeless, the poor, drug addicts and sex workers, etc etc etc... all of those lives need highlighting. I wonder sometimes to who's benefit? When we've turned the page, they shall remain... and if the work is successful, who shares in it? We get to see good pictures, the photographer gets some recognition, the subjects?
His name is Mike. I don't know how he is or where he is but I wish him peace and good will.
